Birmingham proved that even from the Championship you can play well in Europa League and have good results. Despite loosing the frist game in this group against last year`s Europa League finalists Braga, Birmingham managed to win the next two games, both played away from home, against Maribor and Club Brugge with the same score 2-1.

But, they proved they are a strong team, and they could pose problems to the biggest teams in Europa League, even if they relegated last season.

This could be the last chance for Manchester City to get one of the two places that will take them into the next phase of this competition. With only one point after 2 games, a win against Villareal will be the only possible result for Manchester City. They had a very good start in the Premier League and they want to match that performance in the Champions League, but so far things are not looking so good.

Manchester City hopes that Bayern Munich will not lose against Napoli in Italy. A win for Napoli will take them to 7 point and with Bayern Munich already on 6 points, chances for Manchester City to qualify for the next stage will get fewer and fewer.

After losing the fist 2 games in this group Villareal doesn`t have much hope about getting to the next stage of the Champions League. They still have chances to qualify for the Europa League from the third place in this group. They hope to get at least one point in Manchester, and decide the outcome for the third place in the second game against Manchester City in Spain.

On paper, Chelsea looks the clear favorite to win this game. The odds for Chelsea to win are so small, few will even dare to put any more money on Chelsea. So most people expect that Chelsea will win this game, and they will do it with a confortable goal difference. And rightly, they hold all the aces. New coach, Villas-Boas seeking glory in the most prestigeous European inter-club competition, after the success last year in Europa League and very good players, that if they get the game going and play perfectly, they can beat every team in the world.

Genk only managed to get a single point from the two games they have played in this season of the Champions League. A point at home against Valencia, and they look like sure victims against Chelsea. They probably think what can they do to stop Chelsea`s strikers? Is there anything in the world that could keep those strikers away from their goal? Genk`s coach will have to find something close to a miracle to get even a single point on Stamford Bridge, but if they manage that it will be a very good result.
