12 rounds have passed from the Formula One Championship 2011 season, and it seems that we already have a World Champion. Sebastian Vettel leads the championshi with 92 points in front of second place, Red-Bull Renault team mate Mark Webber. 7 rounds still left in this year`s season, and if things go as they went until now, Vettel will have no problems getting the second consecutive World title.
The next round will be held at the Monza circuit, a circuit that particulary doesn`t suit the Red Bulls, but this was said about the Belgian Grand Prix and Red Bull got a double there last week.
Race Information
Laps: 53
Circuit length: 5.793 km
Race length: 306.720 km
Number of times held: 80
First held: 1921
Most wins (drivers): Michael Schumacher - 5
Most wins (constructors): Ferrari - 19
This circuit is famous for bringing bad luck to the winning driver. In the past 20 years, only Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher have won the Italian Grand Prix and became champions in the same year. Last year, Fernando Alonso won the Italian Grand Prix, and lost the title in the final race.
If Vettel manages to start the race from pole, it will be hard to defeat him on track, as proven in the previous races. Will he became the only third driver in history that manages to win the Italian GP and then win the World Championship, or will he settle for a podium placement, points that will bring him closer and closer to the title.
