The PDC World Darts Championship Betting Guide
Darts PDC World Championships Betting Guide
The PDC World Darts Championship is a world championship competition for the
sport of darts, organized by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It was
introduced following a dispute in 1994 with the British Darts Organization,
which has run its own world championship since 1978. The biggest of the PDC
tournaments, it traditionally begins in late December, finishing in early
January just as the BDO`s version gets underway.
The tournament is currently sponsored by Ladbrokes.com and is now staged at the
Alexandra Palace in London after being held the Circus Tavern in Purfleet for
its first 14 years.
Only 4 players have won this championship: Dennis Priestley, Phil Taylor, John
Part and Raymond van Barneveld. Of these, only Taylor and Part have won it more
than once. Taylor has dominated the tournament, winning 13 titles and reaching
16 of the first 17 finals.

BETFAIR |
With Phil Taylor eliminated of the tournament, Gary
Anderson became the first favorite to win this tournament. If he can
keep his current playing form, he could be the new champion. |
| JAMES WADE |
6.08 |
BETFAIR |
He is the second favorite, according to the bookmakers.
He played well so far, he could have a good chance at the trophy. |
| ADRIAN LEWIS |
6.27 |
BETFAIR |
The current champion, proved to be a bit inconsistent in
this tournament. He is only third favorite in the bookmakers top five,
and he will have to perform better if he wants to keep his title. |
| DAVE CHISNALL |
10.00 |
PADDY POWER |
Fourth place in the favorites top five. His chances to
win this tournament are small, but as we have seen so far, anything can
happen. |
| SIMON WHITLOCK |
11.00 |
STANJAMES |
Last in the top five favorites, he has small chances to
win this tournament. Something close to a miracle must happen so he can
have a chance at the trophy. |
