Rules of Golf
1. Playing the ball:
Tee:
- playing on the surface of the markers, bounded in front of their line and length in the back of two clubs;
- provisional ball is played after the competitors are playing the first ball;
Fairway:
- playing the ball in the position where it is;
- is allowed to touch the ball with the stick head , but if it is moved in another position on the ground, it creates a penalty kick and the ball is placed at the original site, if it fails to rearrange it will create two penalty kicks;
- playing a wrong ball brings two penalty kicks, the ball is put it back, then the ball is played correctly;
- if the ball is moved accidentally creates a penalty kick, and if the initial call at two penalty kicks.
Obstacles (water, sand)
- is not allowed to touch the sand or water at the address;
Bunker sand
before kick in the bunker, players are not allowed:
- to touch mobile objects in nature to achieve to help themselves;
- to remove moving objects from nature;
- to level the sand, otherwise it creates two penalty kicks;
Water Obstacle
- If the ball is in water, such as playing ball or in a penalty kick, if:
- drops a ball at any distance behind the water hole on a fixed line and where the ball last crossed the water`s edge;
- play again from where he played in the obstacle;
Out of Bounds
- outside the court the game is forbidden;
- if a ball is Out of Bounds plays another ball from where it was played with a penalty kick;
Green
- ball is marked and it can be lifted;
- flag must be removed or in caddy`s care, and if the ball hits the flag is creating two penalty kicks;
- if the ball is accidentally touched by the player (to mark it) or someone else or another ball, the ball is put back without penalty.
2. Ball in motion, deflected or stopped
- ball played by a player, deflected or stopped by the player or the caddy, it creates two penalty kicks and the ball is played where it is;
- ball played by a player, deflected or stopped by someone else, it will be played where it is without penalty (except the green, where will be played from the initial position)
- ball played by a player, stopped or deflected by another ball, penalty is not created, and the ball is played from the position where it is, and the hit ball sits in its original position (except if both balls are on the green, where he who strikes another ball will be awarded two penalty kicks)
3. Picking, dropping and place of the ball
- before picking up a ball, it`s position should be marked;
- when dropping the ball, the player must stand straight, holding the ball at shoulder height and arm length and left to fall; the ball must redropped if it lands on obstacles, on the green, Out of Bounds, a position not played, exceeding the area of two lengths stick where it drop or get closer to the hole to its original position;
- if the redropped ball lands in a position described above, it`s placed at the place where it hit the ground when it was dropped first.
4. Interfering or helping the game
- a player may lift the ball if it helps another player, or is requested from a competitor that interferes with the player who follows.
5. Mobile Objects
- moving objects in the environment (rocks, branches, leaves, mud) can be removed if they are not fixed in the ground, not attached to the ball and not in the bunker;
- if objects are removed and the ball is moved, it will be put in place with a penalty kick (if the ball is on the green, it can be played without penalty).
6. Obstacles
a. Mobile obstacles (bottles, rake, paper)
- if the ball is moved to remove these obstacles, it will not create penalties and it is allowed to clean the ball.
b. Immobile obstacles (roads, houses, fences)
- Fairway: the ball is allowed to be lifted and placed them within a radius of a long stick to the original position, not nearer the hole, if the player cannot take a position to play or cannot carry swing, without penalty;
Bunker: the ball will be dropped;
Green: the ball is raised and placed on a close point, not nearer the hole.
7. Unusual ground state
- if the ball is in a position to interfere with unusual soil conditions (random water, field repairs, and dents) may drop a ball at a stick length but no closer to the hole, without penalty.
8. Ball Lost or Out of Bounds
- if the ball is considered lost outside the water obstacle or out of Bounds, the game should be declared a provisional ball from the place where the player played his last hit;
- search of the ball is allowed for 5 min., or may be declared lost sooner;
- if the original ball is lost, the played can continue the game with a provisional ball and with a penalty kick.
9. Non playable ball
- The player has the right to declare the ball not playable at any point of land, water and an obstacle with one penalty kick, and the player should:
- put the ball within two lengths of the stick where the ball is, but not closer to the hole;
- put the ball on the line determined by the hole and place the ball is, back to it, without limits of distance;
- put the ball in the pace where the last shot was made (if the ball is in the bunker can proceed as above).
